A Chihuahua from Bangkok, Thailand captured the attention of the Internet because of his effortlessly menacing appearance. One look at him, and you would think he could pass as a Disney movie villain or a James Bond antagonist.
It all began in August 2019, when an adoption center in Bangkok took in the Chihuahua as a puppy. One of the center employees posted his pictures on a Facebook group called Dogspotting Society, where anyone can post any content on dogs. As soon as the photos were available to the public, people couldn’t help but notice how unique he looked.
The predominantly white pup has two different eye colors due to a genetic condition called heterochromia. The left eye is dark brown, while the right is light blue. However, his enormous, jet-black single eyebrow pattern sitting on top of his right eye makes him stand out even more.
Because of his looks, the adoption center named the puppy Lucky. They believe that having multiple inborn traits is a gift and would give the bearer a prosperous life.
Now at two years old, Lucky lives his best life with his new owner, 29-year-old Natnicha Namakprasert, who accidentally discovered his adoption photos online. She admitted that seeing Lucky’s images drove her crazy and motivated her to adopt him without hesitation.
Of course, a famous dog such as Lucky must have his own social media platform – and thankfully, he does! With over 400 posts and more than 900 followers on Instagram, fans worldwide can regularly have a glimpse of his daily life and cuteness.
Namakprasert shared that she saw all kinds of comments on Lucky, the most common being the joke that her dog probably couldn’t wait to be born, so there wasn’t enough time to make his other eyebrow. Others would go as far as accusing her of using a permanent marker to draw his eyebrow or using Photoshop to edit his pictures, which is not at all true.
While Lucky’s face is what people notice about him, this is so much more than his physical appearance. Namakprasert says his personality is quite the opposite of his face and describes him as a loving and clingy dog who likes to stick with her everywhere she goes.
Indeed, Lucky may have the evil stare of a villain. But for his owner, he will always be the main character and her hero.
